Fake $CJUP 'Jupuary' tokens airdropped to Solana wallets lead to drainer sites

Jupiter (JUP) community and Solana wallet users

In May 2026, Solana Floor warned that scammers were sending counterfeit '$CJUP' tokens to Solana wallets while impersonating Jupiter's Jupuary airdrop. The tokens point holders to phishing 'claim' sites that drain any wallet that connects. Losses were not quantified. Jupiter had not announced a new airdrop at the time, and its only official site is jup[.]ag. If a token you never bought appears with a claim link, ignore it.

Follow this incident

At risk

  • Jupiter (JUP) community and Solana wallet users
  • Solana wallets

What to do now

  • If you signed on a claim site, move remaining funds to a new wallet and check the old one for delegates or owner changes.
  • Hide or burn the spam token from a trusted wallet; don't trade it or visit its links.
  • Verify the real JUP token and contract address in your wallet or on CoinMarketCap.

Stay safe

Am I affected?

Having a $CJUP token in your wallet is not a loss by itself. You are affected only if you followed its link and connected or signed on the claim site.

How to avoid this

  • Unsolicited tokens with a 'claim' link are bait. Real Jupiter claims happen only on jup[.]ag, reached from your own bookmark.
  • Check official Jupiter accounts before believing any airdrop news.
  • Use a separate low-balance wallet for any claim you do want to try.
